Re: air ride question

ss6 is an re6 with composite end plates instead of aluminum. I have used a lot of slam bags in the couple decades I have had air ride and they ride better than just about anything, and have an internal bumpstop so you can squish them all the way without damage. the only thing I would recommend is to go bigger than you think you need in front and smaller than you think you need in the rear. so I usually use an re7 in front with an re5 in the rear. the extra volume of the 7 in the front is nice for a smooth ride at lower pressure with all the weight of the engine, and the smaller bag in the rear is great for the vastly lower weight.

Re: air ride question

Thanks for the response, I was just curious be cause with the front end I went with they gave me as 6 for it. The truck is not done yet so I was wondering how it would ride just because it has a big block in it , I pushed the motor back 4” so it may help a little. Right now at ride height each bag is at 68psi and the bags are at 6.5” tall. I don’t think 7” bags will fit because when the wheels are turned all the way the big gm brake calipers will hit the 7” bags... also wondering if I went with some wilwood calipers if I can obtain more clearance to squeeze in some 7” bags

68 psi at ride height is pretty great actually. I would stick unless you just want the extra volume and softer spring rate.

Re: air ride question

Ok thanks bud for thanks your help, I’ll probably stick with the 6’s then just because my scub line is at 4” so a little firmer ride will keep me from scrubbing
