Hello from Youngstown

Just wanted to introduce myself. We recently bought a 1959 Chevy Apache. I've wanted one of these trucks for several years. I wanted a solid original body and chassis and we finally located one. The truck came out of the south, it was stored inside for a long time. It has one small bad spot on the lower left cab corner, but we are going to leave it alone. The wife wanted a blue truck with nice patina and that's exactly what we got. The truck currently has a SBC engine and original 4 speed transmission, but with the purchase of the truck came a freshly rebuilt Pontiac 455 engine. You'll see me pop up from time to time on here, asking questions. Thanks

My knowledge of 59's is zero, but I have Pontiac knowledge, although I am an expert at nothing...

Did you get any info about Pontiac build???

I did get a full build sheet. I know it's a 428 block, had head work done to the valves, 9.5:1 compress. I'll post a pic of the build specs when I can.

Nice looking truck! I actually really like those wheels on that truck. Not in-your-face.
