What are these curb feelers?

I’ve heard them called candlesticks. But what are these called and what’s is their purpose?

Usually used to let the driver know where his bumper is.(to avoid hitting things)
The president and other dignitaries use them to fly flags.
You see them a lot on big trucks.

We called them “Bud Light bars”. They help you keep from hitting some thing if you have to many bud lights!

called bumper guides.. name should make purpose obvious

common in orange plastic, plastic strip LED, and chrome with lighted top..

google buyers truck accessories catalog to see various types..

Ha, yes, 100% Chevy posted what I call curb feelers... reminds me of the 70s, in a bad way.

As for the bumper guards, I've heard some folks use them as an assist when plowing or driving off-road in snow. Not sure they'd assist much of anything, but, back in the 70's it made you look THAT much more like Kris Kristofferson in the Rubber Duck, and that was important...
