Drop Spindles and worn brake hoses

So, after a lot of time under my truck redoing the front brakes... I noticed that due to the drop spindle (I am guessing), the factory hoses rub along the upper ball joint nut. Mine sits right on it... I got new hoses (haven't installed them yet) but, what does everyone do to keep the hose from getting worn from the ball joint nut? I don't want to bend the aluminum portion of the hose too much because it will crack... any ideas or fixes you have seen in the past?

I have to go back under the truck tomorrow so, I will take pics if it helps.

The end of the hose is most likely steel, and not aluminum, and you should be able to bend it far enough to clear the ball joint without doing any damage to the hose. I believe that is what most people do, I have personally bent the front brake hoses a number of times with no problems.

Hoses bent and on.... the passenger side was a PITA! Had to take out the alternator to get to the back then, the PO had a washer on the outside vice the horseshoe clip.

Back on the road blasting my 80s miami bass and pissin off the neighbors with my 40 flowmasters. Life is good!

I had the same deal... Read up on here to bend it. No problems so far.
