Removing Screws From K5 Vent Window Frame
Anyone have any suggestions for getting the screws out of the aluminum frames without destroying the rubber seal? One already broke off. Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Nope! Don't know how. I'm hoping description is "self explanatory" enough cuz I'm computer illiterate!

Re: Removing Screws From K5 Vent Window Frame
Don't know if it would help, but I did a write-up on vent window seal replacement.

It's been a few years since I rebuilt mine, but I don't remember any screws under the seal. A pic would help if you can figure out how to post it.

OK, two screws on top and two screws on bottom (under rubber gasket).

Re: Removing Screws From K5 Vent Window Frame
You could in fact, take out the entire side window. It's not that hard really with some windex. I actually locked my keys into the truck and after staring at it a long time, actually pulled the side glass out of the topper to get into the truck.
Needless to say, my daughter was very impressed! She was the one that locked the keys in the truck when we were shopping at a camera store....
