Manual steering box rebuild

I'm on round 2 rebuilding this thing due to improper seal install last time.

A few years ago the upper bearing failed and the worm gear came out. I was able to find replacement seals locally. However when I spoke on the phone to *redacted* and explained my situation I was raked over the coals and paid a whole lot of Canadian peso's for a bearing cage and a few ball bearings. He didn't even give me the outer race.

So, has anybody ever found replacement bearings?
From what I can tell the inner race is lathed into the inner-shaft and only one of the outer race is easily replaced. So using a modern roller bearing is not really an option.

Seals I can source but I need another cage.

Anybody have a lead on a rebuild kit? or just the parts I need?

Here's one on eBay for a Saginaw 525. Says it fits 1960 to 1966 Truck manual steering:

Another option is look in the parts section for a manual box in good shape. That would give you all good internals.

Another, another option is to get a rebuilt one from RedHead steering gear.

Myself I don't bother with the manual boxes, they turn so much easier with power steering.

Power steering is the nicest upgrade I've ever made to my 64 C10.

Re: Manual steering box rebuild

Thanks for all the replies, I'm slightly embarrassed I never checked ebay...
ordering tonight the part kit tonight

While I'm on the subject, anybody know where I can find the steering column bearing?

When the worm gear came out it dropped the ball bearings of the lower one and sheared off the top one maybe vice-versa.
