Dynamat prep?
I just purchased some Dynamat and would like to know what prep needs to be done to the floor before installing the mat.....wash, prime and paint first or what?
Any help would be much appreciated.

Re: Dynamat prep?
Fix or treat all rust. Dyna may can speed it up.
Replace weather stripping. If water gets under dynamat it will make it worse. Wash with dish soap the metal your going to apply it too. Wipe with acetone or my personal fav E85. Apply on a cool day so it doesn't stuck as hard while your working it. |

Re: Dynamat prep?
I wire-wheeled the rust out then coated with POR15. Filled in some pinholes and extra screwholes with JB Weld. Then I just put the dynamat right over it. Worked great. Get a good roller for the mat, it is worth the expense.
