Speed engineering longtubes with LS mounts
I didn't see where anyone has done these headers with the factory (donor) truck motor mounts.
I like how LS1Nova does his mounting without any adapter plates but wanted to run full length headers. This is just sitting on the engine stand so I haven't welded up the rest of my high-tech home crafted mount receptacle to bolt to the crossmember. I don't have the donor frame to cut the formed portion of frame and use it instead so it's fabrication time. That shouldn't matter on the mount/header side. Here's the easy side first. All that is needed is some bending of the heat shield. Plenty of clearance.

Re: Speed engineering longtubes with LS mounts
The drivers side requires more work (cutting), but not rocket science. Just some standard hot rodding.
There's room to keep some of the heat shield. I figure some is better than none.

Re: Speed engineering longtubes with LS mounts
It looks very tight in the pics, but there's 1/4" of clearance without the heat shield. The cut shield sits close, but it is workable.
Here’s a better shot
