That's a good looking truck! Love both the Avion and the Canned Ham!

...and the barn, and the shop...

Okay... this is weird. I can edit this post, but not the earlier ones. Some of my pics hosted on FaceBook have timed out and I was going to fix it. No can do. I wonder what's going on?

Re: Put 'em to work pics !!!

Thanks Studeclunker. Lost the little trailer to a former ladyfriend, she got the little Terry and I got the Avion. We still have a 1954 Owosso 24' canned ham between us that we still have to figure out what to do with.Cut it in half?? I used to pull that with a97 F250 diesel depending on truck brakes only.As you know staying off "the big road" and going slow likit was ok. Like that big ABC trailer! How was the wood inside? I have an interesting Spartanette story( has to do with a snake infestation!)

I posted pics of the Spartanette, however Facebook timed them out. Now I can't go back and use my other host to put them back. Weird site, this.

Here's a pic of the day I brought the Tandem home.

I'm bringing this one home in a week or so ('54 Spartan Imperial):

Re: Put 'em to work pics !!!

Picked up my new (new to me) front end on Saturday, and near new rear trailing arms/springs etc (most of the spindles/springs etc are ECE).

Probably the heaviest thing I've hauled. Made sure I had lots of protection for the bed (the bits of wood at the bottom had foam underneath)

Now the fun starts installing it all!

Re: Put 'em to work pics !!!

Got evicted from my previous place and had to move my old lady to another home. She was a perfect lady and the old man had little trouble with her eight thousand pounds of mass except for two long, steep 8% grades. We went down Buckhorn and up Carpenter's grades with the patience of a snail. however, there were no dramatics or problems. My old man just chugged up to the top. Had to take a break half-way down Buckhorn to let my brakes cool though. At one point we crossed a causeway and bridge with stiff cross-winds and they were both solid as a rock, no equalizer no sway bars! I LOVE this old truck!
