I used Mahle, which used to be Perfect Circle. I used the plasma moly rings, and they seemed to have seated almost immediately, as I have not used any oil in 500 miles and it does not smoke at all. At one time, Dana Corporation bought Hastings, but I don't know if Mahle sold it off when they bought the engine parts division from Dana or not. I would say both are of equal quality.

Plasma moly rings are more forgiving of an imperfect bore surface as well.
