snorkel/intake

What you all using for snorkel? I want to keep battery on the passenger side and run the air intake/snorkel on the driver side if possible.

Re: snorkel/intake

You can buy the Spectre SPE-9900 kit and flip it around, we did it on my dad's by swapping the fittings from what Spectre shows in their pictures. You might even be able to modify the shield to attach to your core support.

Re: snorkel/intake

^^What Greg said.

I usually build my intakes. Get a piece of aluminum or stainless. Make a few pie cuts and weld it up. You can tape it together or mark it up and have someone weld it if you aren't set up to weld.

Here is one on a Nova I did.

Here is my truck. I used a piece of scrap stainless and a $20 filter off ebay.

Superfastracing 4" Cold Air Intake System + Heat Shield for 1999-2006 GMC/Chevy V8 4.8L/5.3L/6.0L / Silverado 1500/2500/3500 (Black)

Cheap easy and works. 71 with on the pass side. Cut it up or do whatever you want as it gives plenty of options for fitment.

Re: snorkel/intake

Here is how I did mine. I bought a 4" 180° mild steel mandrel bend from Summit. Cut it in half, used a couple of couplers, made a little bracket and presto. Turned out pretty nice.

Hump hose at TB

4 to 3.75" for both sides of MAF sensor
