FOR SALE:1983 gmc 4WD SWB

It's time to sell the redneck hotrod.....1983 GMC - short wheelbase, 4 wheel drive. 85,000 miles on truck, 8,000 miles on completely rebuilt 305 stroker motor. Motor has 327 crank, lunati cam, edelbrock 4barrel with hi-rise filter, corvette ramshorn exhaust manifold into true dual exhaust through glasspacks. Motor sounds unbelievable. Approx 375 hp. 4spd manual. Aftermarket Tach. New: Radiator, 4 shocks, grant 4 spoke steering wheel. Truck has no box, as it was too rusty to repair. The cab is also rusty, but repairable. The tires will need to be replaced within the next 10,000 miles. The beauty of this truck is the motor, and must be heard to appreciate. You can either restore this truck or buy it for the motor - will not separate. im looking to get $1800 for the truck the way it is, or for $2000, i will include all brand new steel to restore the cab including: passenger door, inner rocker panels, outer rocker panels, cab corners, inner fenders, and the radiator support piece. I also have brand new rubber weatherstripping for the doors. All of these pieces are currently in local storage and will go with the truck for $2000. I paid $500 for these new parts just last year. Truck is located in Walton, NY 13865

C10 - The hp was estimated by my mechanic when i bought the truck - he builds stock car motors for a living so he probably wasn't too far off. The motor didnt begin life as a 285, it was the original 5.0 305ci that was stroked. I have never had it dyno'd, though - the nearest one is probably 80 miles away. I'll try and take some pics tonight and ill have them posted by the weekend -

the truck has 3.08 gears (read decent gas mileage)

the motor alone is easily worth 2,000 dollars - but there is a motorcycyle in town that is begging to be in my garage, so i wont refuse any reasonable offer.

- i accidentally said that the motor had a hi-rise filter (typo) it has a tall (6"?) filter with the edelbrock 650cfm carb. I believe the intake manifold is stock - ill check tonight.
