How do I reinstall door glass?

I'm reassembling my 65 after being painted. I'm working on doors. I've got the latches and mirrors installed and am on to the glass now. Anyone have an order of assembly?

Re: How do I reinstall door glass?

Here's the method I used after installing the latch assembly and mirrors:

- install the rearward metal channel (two bolts on end of door)

- lower the glass window to the bottom of the door

- install the vent window assembly temporarily with one top bolt and one
bottom bolt. (felt channel already installed in division bar)

- install the main window channel felt starting flush to vent window

- install the wiper felts flush to vent window.

- remove the vent window assembly

- install the regulator rolled up about 1/2 way

- lift the glass up and onto rollers (need to tilt it)

- roll window down pushing it into the felt channel

- reinstall the vent window

The only thing I would add to that is I placed a couple of pieces of tape to the glass doubled over about 2 feet long It made it easier to get the glass up out of the bottom of the door I also put tape on both sides of the glass so as not to scratch it As well as the opening in the door to protect the paint

Re: How do I reinstall door glass?

The tape to help lift the glass up is a great idea. I had to get the better half to grab it for me. Kind of a 3 handed job.
