Leaky control valve on power steering

This is on my 1964 GMC with factory PS, it is a slave type system.
I have a rebuild seal kit that I'm going to try to stop the leaks. Was wondering if any others have had any luck with effecting a successful R&R of the control valve.

If not, are the corvette (C3) valves and cylinders direct replacements for our trucks? They look very similar or appear to be the same, but dont know for sure.

Steve

Question. I have never driven a vehicle with this set up as my truck was unoperable when I bought it. Is it an ok system to drive with in today's traffic?
