p1860
So I have motor and transmission (5.3 and 4L60e) in. I got it running and am able to idle to get to temp to get the e fans working. It needs drive shaft and exhaust.
I check codes and I get a few of em which I think are expected. MIL, gas gauge, and O2 because none of that is hooked up. The one that worries me is p1860. Any idea what could cause this? what should I look for to fix? Or should I wait until I can drive it |

Re: p1860
That's a transmission torque converter code, not one that usually pops up during a swap because something isn't hooked up, especially if it hasn't been driven a good amount, and since you have no exhaust, I suspect you haven't driven it much. My guess is if you clear it, it will come right back which means its a hard code and something is wrong with either the TCC solenoid or the wiring to it. Is it a new harness? Did you drive the truck the trans came out of?

I haven’t driven it.
I cleared it and it came back. The engine harness is from the donor which I reworked. |

I never drove the vehicle that the swap came out of.

13 or so quarts. I accidentally over filled it.

What year is the 4L60E ? Does it have a 5 AMP fuse for the TCC ? check voltage first.

Re: p1860
The tranny came out of a 2002 I believe. I’d have to check. I did have to change the bell housing since it was out of a 6 cylinder vehicle. My research showed they are the same transmission though I’m not sure.
As far as a fuse, I only have 30 amp fuses like lt1swap does since I used those instructions to rework the harness. Which pin would I be looking at to check voltage and what should I expect? |

Re: p1860
Thanks for the replies. I tracked the problem down to the wiring in the engine harness. Fixed the wiring and code went away.
