Reg cab, lwb s10...is what's most commonly used for the swb trucks....
Your truck will be one of the 3.... 116, 125.25 and 137 inches The S-10 comes in three wheelbase lengths: 108" Shortbed 117" Longbed 122" Extended Cab

Re: 1952 long bead s-10 question swap
mongo said it, you will need to shorten an ext cab (or lengthen any other) to use an unmodified long bed... I have done the opposite, shortened a long bed AD bed to fit a chassis. given the choice I would do the latter.

Re: 1952 long bead s-10 question swap
I was thinking the same as Russ...shorten the bed to fit whichever frame you find..

Re: 1952 long bead s-10 question swap
Are you looking at keeping it a long bed AD 3600?
and want to do a S-10 frame swap? I read somewhere that you can use a S-10 extended cab frame and all you have to do is to swap the leaf springs around and the S-10 wheelbase will be the same as the 3600 long bed wheelbase. Does anyone know if this is correct. I have a 1950 3600 AD and plan to do a S-10 frame swap and keep it a long bed. You do not see many and it would be different.

Re: 1952 long bead s-10 question swap
If you have the 8 ft box you can probably adjust the wheelbase by swapping the springs around and or with a bit of frame length adjustment by cutting the welds that hold the rear section to the rails and sliding them out a bit. I don't know if there is that much adjustment available there though.
Or use a Jag XJ 6 front suspension with your frame and a late 70's Camaro rear axle an have a whole lot less hassles. Flip the rear axle on top of the springs and put in a little notch and you have a reasonably low truck that is still a truck. Simply meaning that there is no law saying that you can only use a blooming S10 frame to modify these trucks.
