63 front parking brake cable sources?
So today, the front parking brake cable broke right at the handle on my 63 c10.
The 66 style system looks like a good upgrade, but I replaced the rear cables a few years ago, so I just need the front one. I looked at inline tube, but under the 63 c10 tab, I don't see any front cables being offered. I'm currently daily driving the truck, so I would rather not have to wait for a custom made one. Also, I looked on rockauto and found a few options, but don't know about the quality of them.

The aftermarket one aren’t very well made imo, I hope you can find an original.

Re: 63 front parking brake cable sources?
I'd help but there'd probably be an argument.

No argument from me, new to this stuff myself and I cant tell who sells the better quality aftermarket parts like this. An original would be better by comparison I would think.

Re: 63 front parking brake cable sources?
Is the 66 front cable the same as a 63?

Re: 63 front parking brake cable sources?
My 63 and my 65 have both been upgraded to the all cable system used in 1966-1972 C10 trucks. Here is my DIY and a video I made. It's been drawn to my attention that the correct name is PARK BRAKE. OK.

I'm running a factory 3 speed with overdrive trans, so clearance isn't an issue for me.

Re: 63 front parking brake cable sources?
Well I finally replaced the parking brake cable that snapped.
I ordered one from RockAuto along with a couple other things I needed. The new front cable was around 15 bucks or so after shipping because it shipped with the other stuff. The length is almost spot on to the original one, but the only issues I have with it is that the attachment piece at the handle isn't wide enough and the 2 adjustment nuts at the other end are 13mm. For the price though, I can't complain too much and my parking brake works again
