radiators and hoses

Good aftrenoon everyone.I`m doing a ls swap in 64 C10 truck and was wondering what radiator yall are using and hoses on 6.0 swap.Also what did you use for oil sensor and water temp sensor?

When I did mine I had a local radiator shop change the inlet and outlet hose barbs to the same as the factory LS truck hoses and used the factory truck hoses that came with my engine. I also had them install a steam post just below the fill and overflow.

I kept my radiator shroud and used a clutch fan. The stock GM truck fan was hitting my shroud so I replaced it with something else that just spun on the same threads. Off the top of my head I do not remember what that fan was off of but if you go through the LS swap thread below it has that and a lot of other information that may be of help.

For the oil sensor I put a fitting where the factory LS oil sender was that raised the sensor an inch and a half and had a 1/8th NPT threaded hole tapped in the side for my factory gauges.

For the temp sensor I and many others tapped the passenger head after removing the plug and installed whatever factory temp sensor our vehicle used. The computer needs the one on the drivers head so leave it alone.

On my LS swaps I use a cross flow aluminum radiator so the inlet and outlet are on the passenger side of the truck. Makes hose routing much easier. As said above weld in a bung for the steam line. My 68 C10 has a Afco radiator. Biggest I could fit. 32" wide X 19" tall.
