Edelbrock 1404 Linkage

Getting parts together to install a Edelbrock 1404 onto a offy intake. The offy linkage came with a throttle wire with a ball on the end of it. What is the part I need to get it to attach to the throttle arm on the carb?

Ive done searches and looked at hundreds pf pictures but don't see anything. Some kind of stud that would accept the ball end and screws to the linkage.

thanks in advance
-Nate

Re: Edelbrock 1404 Linkage

well the issue is the cable has a ball on the end of it so I need the stud or whatever its called that will attach to the carb arm and hold the ball end of cable. These studs in your link are the opposite with the ball end on them. Do I just snip the ball off the end of the wire and crimp something else on there?

My bad.
Your pic is fuzzy.
Thought the ball was hollow.
What or who’s the manufacturer of the ball?

Re: Edelbrock 1404 Linkage

Are you converting to a complete cable linkage from the loud pedal to the carb or just piece it togethor?

Re: Edelbrock 1404 Linkage

That can be tricky setting up.
I didn’t use the bellcrank offy uses. I used an adjustable one mounted to a bracket attached to the carb studs and kept it all solid (no cable).
I found a couple pics.
