Drivers side seat spring

I have started to recover my bench seat on my 63. First off I need to confess that i have never done anything like this so help is appreciated. I did the back first and found that all the foam on the top and sides had come detached so with a can of fabric adhesive I reattached the form and it came out great. Cover fit well and a friend loaned me a pneumatic hog ring tool, which I think is probably the best thing ever invented. Now i am rambling. My problem is a broken drivers side spring. It is a single spring the gives support to the outside edge of the seat. It is V shaped. Help locating a replacement or a good repair is appreciated. The new cover just doesn't fit right. Thanks
