60lb oil pressure gauge and LS Swap

Im doing a ls swap on my truck and I am concerned about the factory 60lb oil pressure gauge. How well does it hold up or do I need to just change it to the 80lb gauge? Thanks in advance, Carl

Its not going to leak or break its a very sturdy gauge. I had a 60 on my cummins for a lomg time, unless hot in the summer it was always pegged. No issues

I bought it hoping the air pressure gauge was nicer than the one i have. They are about the same, nice but not outstanding.

I know it was used on dump trucks, but what other trucks did the air pressure gauge come in?

Re: 60lb oil pressure gauge and LS Swap

Why would you think an LS would have more psi than any other motor?? I have a stock gage with normal psi

I know they idle at about 40lbs when hot, and around 50 or maybe a little more cold. but when you are wide open throttle i have seen 70 to 80lbs and with a 60lb gauge i didnt know if it would hold up.

Isn’t the oil relief valve set 60 PSI

I also have a high volume pump. Not sure about the relief valve.
