Re: July 2020 ToTM - Slab that Side
Beautiful truck! Nice and unmolested. But I have to ask what is the story behind the white air cleaner. I was around several square bodies back when they were new and I just don't remember any color other than black.

Re: July 2020 ToTM - Slab that Side
Oh and @HO455 it’s actually silver, but the story is the guy I bought her from is a car flipper, and he kinda went haywire under the hood with a couple cans of spray paint. Nearly everything was rattle canned black, the block, the valve covers, even the master cylinder and fuel pump are sprayed black. I’m guessing he thought it looked too dark so he shot the air cleaner in silver for some contrast... it’s weird, but I haven’t got around to dealing with it.

Re: July 2020 ToTM - Slab that Side
^^^ That's what I figured
Congratulations!! That truck is a prime example of the era, except the silver air cleaner . That color combo is so sharp, classic. Love me some 8-luggers PS: Try typing : then dohh then : for your facepalm...…..
