Re: Fuel delivery question
Your link isnt working...is this it?..
Do you have a returnless fuel rail? https://hotrodfuelhose.com/collectio...-fuel-line-kit Seems kinda pricey, I think you could piece together what you need and save you some $$ It's just a basic wix vett filter/reg....figure out how much hose you need and get only the fittings you need..

Re: Fuel delivery question
Mango is right you will end up with a bunch of fittings that you don’t need and others you won’t get just google 6an fittings and you will get a bunch of suppliers and prices figure out what you need Just make sure it’s all ptfe I wasn’t paying attention and bought a pare of fittings that wasn’t ptfe they won’t work

Re: Fuel delivery question
I used this type of system as far as the corvette filter/reg and push on rubber hose and push on fittings. Not cheap but was easy and so far works like a champ. Got my stufff from tanks inc. great customer service.

Re: Fuel delivery question
I used the hotrodfuelhose stuff on my swap. I checked out buying separately and it was pretty much a wash (return-style setup). Also make sure if you are mixing and matching on your own that you have the right fittings for the right style hose. HRFH stuff is all PTFE compatible - if you buy PTFE line and then try to use fittings for rubber or whatever, it will leak.
If you do plan on piecing it together, I did buy a few bits from evil energy on amazon, I wanted to use the my leftover line for my transmission cooler. They seem to be equal quality, IMO, for a little less (and free shipping, cause Amazon) but they sell both PTFE and rubber line/fittings so again just make sure you match everything up. |

Re: Fuel delivery question
just to clarify . this system along with others still has a return line. It just starts at the fuel filter/reg not the fuel rail on engine.

Re: Fuel delivery question
I've used Russell and Earl's on my LS swaps. I don't buy the pre-packaged kits. Wix C5 Corvette FPR from NAPA. Then I do a little drawing of my layout to determine the length of -6 line and the fittings required. I do order one extra straight, 120 degree and one 90 degree fitting just in case I messed up. Also if your gas tank is aftermarket you may need a NPT to -6 fittings.
In regards to the type of -6 hose I use the typical -6 hose that is rated for all fuels. On my LS6 swapped 98 Wrangler It's been fine for over 12 years. Having said that I do find the PTFE hose easier to assemble. PTFE hose and fittings are more expensive. Just .02. I like the either the nickel plated fittings or the black fittings. Not the red and blue fittings. |

Re: Fuel delivery question
I used the returnless LS swap kit from hotrodfuel hose and am really happy with the quality of the hose and the fittings. Also their support was fantastic.
I have tried cheaper fittings, or cheaper line, and the difference in quality was noticeable. |

Re: Fuel delivery question
I used this filter/regulator from Speedway. It has 6AN fittings already installed, which IMO minimized the potential for leaks.
https://www.speedwaymotors.com/Speed...SI,375656.html For fuel line I used 3/8 aluminum hardline tubing with 6AN adapters up to the engine block. Then I used flexible 6AN hose up the back to the fuel rail. The aluminum tubing is easy to bend by hand and you can make it look pretty good. Plus the 6AN fittings with ferrule seal quite easily. https://www.speedwaymotors.com/3-8-I...rs,401512.html

Re: Fuel delivery question
The only bad thing about the Speedway FFR is that if it fails you have to get another from Speedway not at the local parts store. They make adapters that plug in a stock Wix C5 FFR with -6 fittings. They guys over on LS1tech would recommend Wix FFR only.

Several places make them, but only use the kind with the screw on retainer in the end. The aluminum ones that use the factory style plastic retainers are known to blow off. Many fires attributed to them, but they wont stop selling them or recall them..... Here's a link to the good ones. https://www.holley.com/products/plum...arts/751166ERL https://www.holley.com/products/plum...arts/751156ERL

Re: Fuel delivery question
Does anybody sell a fuel pump that fits in the original style tank?
EDIT; for an LS swap.

Re: Fuel delivery question
I appreciate everyones input on all of the different ways to do it. I already had a new 67-72 blazer tank. So I welded in the recess for the Tanks inc PA-4. I bought tanks inc ls fuel line kit. So far I have the pump installed in the tank. I will be installing the lines next

I have been looking into this and doing some research also.I have 1 of the brand new truck shop fuel tanks with the correct blazer fuel fill tube.I want to install A fuel pump out of a 2000-2002 comaro. I have the delphi fuel pump and it is the correct depth for the tank.I have been unable to find a correct weld in ring for this fuel pump.I am even considering buying an Aftermarket Replacement tank and cutting the ring out of it and welding it into mine. If I can't make this happen I will just use a tanks incorporated fuel pump assembly which just requires a whole cut and a bunch of holes drilled.I do prefer the idea of a factory fuel pump that could be purchased anywhere though.
