Another tailgate question!!

Do all tailgates from 73-87 fit??? I have a 74 GMC but I swapped my shortbed for a newer cleaner rustfree shortbed. The only difference between my old bed and this newer one is that the newer one has a small door were the gas cap is and the side tailgate assembly is a little different. I want to purchase a tailgate off another board member and would like to know what years are interchangable. The first picture is of the tailgate I want to buy. The second and third are of my tailgate and my truck. Can anyone tell me what year my bed is just by this pic?? Thanks, any advice would be greatly appreciated.

The difference in tailgates is 73-80 has a round indention across the rear, where the 81-87 ones are more squared off. I believe the fuel door started in 78 or 79. Either tailgate will work, they physically interchange.

Hinges, locks, and rubber bumpers are all the same - Only difference would be cosmetic and only a stickler for correct parts would ever notice a difference. ::cough n2trux cough::
