Two Post Lift Points on a K5

Sorry if this is the wrong place for this question.

I recently installed a Rotary 2 post lift in my new garage. I'm a total newbie to lifts...I've never lifted a vehicle in my life. I have a Rotary manual for lift points of nearly every vehicle going back 25 years, but it doesn't have that info for K10's or K5's.

My internet search only came up with threads about jacking points for K5's. Going to raise my K5 for the first time this weekend and just wanted to ask about the lift points.

Thanks in advance.

Re: Two Post Lift Points on a K5

I've made thousands of lifts with mine...biggest thing is try to get it centered, lift it till the tires clear the ground, and do a shake test...nearly every vehicle I've lifted usually winds up centered and is fine..
Make sure the lift pads are centered on the frame rails side2side..and you'll be good
If you had a rotary lift things would be off center a bit, but you dont..
Once you start using it you'll wonder how you ever got by without it

Thanks for that input. Appreciate it. Going to give it a try today.

Be careful that you don't let the arms get into you rocker panels. My buddy did that on his 72 c10.

Re: Two Post Lift Points on a K5

Well, I took my time and did the shake test and it seemed to go OK. Think I'm going to enjoy having a lift.

Looks nice, what height is the ceiling of the garage, 10 or 12 feet?

Nice,,,!...watch that garage door..
I've got to redo the door track on my doors to make them follow the roof angle vs horizontal.I have openers and I have to be careful how I lift so as to not hit them...I did get the hood on my s-blazer once...I had the hood open and lifted the blazer...crunch...

Thanks mongocanfly. Yes, I don't have too much room to play with there. I'll be sure to be careful.
