Bed tie down options?

Occasionally, I’d like to use my truck to actually carry stuff. I have no way of securing cargo. I’m thinking about adding one of these in each of the four corners. Anyone do anything similar or have a better suggestion? Thanks!

I simply replaced a few of the bedside perimeter bolts with large eye bolts. These can be swapped easily or removed at any time with no damage.

That's what I did as well, SS eye bolts...I can't take credit for the idea...the PO did the same...I just replaced them recently ...I have 4 in mine...2 at the end near the tailgate and 2 near the head, but not all the way up...I think bolt #2 or 3 from the head...I may do 2 more in the center of the edge...

Can you still easily slide sheets of plywood in there with the eyebolts in place on a stepper?

If you have a fleetside, you could add some attachment points through the inner panel of the bedsides. I used some cheap U bolts and a piece of aluminum on the back side to help distribute any forces from tying stuff down. Basically, I looked at what was in my dad's 02 Silverado and copied it. Drilled 8 holes in the bed, but with everything I've attached to them, the holes were worth it

Yes, I measured between eye bolts just to make sure, but it is a little over 48" wide...I had put plywood back there before I started my restoration with no problem.
