Question Regarding Rear Bench Disassembly & Shipping
I've been looking for something this AM, but didn't find it. I'm sure this info already exists out there so apologies...
I'm trying to purchase a '72 bench out of WI for shipping to CA. Has anyone shipped one of these things? My main question is whether the back can be removed from the bottom fairly easily? I'm expecting to rebuild it anyway when it gets here... Thanks! |

Im pretty sure it's just two bolts per side under the upholstery.

Re: Question Regarding Rear Bench Disassembly & Shipping
Greyhound seems to be pretty reasonable and you don't have to break it down. I've shipped several from the east coast to the west coast for around 150 so I would think it would be cheaper for you. I do wrap them in plastic wrap and that seems to be ok.

Re: Question Regarding Rear Bench Disassembly & Shipping
OK, that's what I think I'm going to do. Found a really nice Burb 3rd row for a reasonable price (getting hard to do). Now to get it here, disassemble, powder coat everything, and get a fresh cover on it.
