No more Bias Ply tires

I made a couple subtle changes for Dino's, the show was awesome and if you haven't been put it on your list. My truck made it onto the new Brothers shirt also.

Re: No more Bias Ply tires

Nice! How's the ride with the radials compare to the bias-plys?

I'm curious to hear your feedback on the recent changes you made as well (tires and ride height). Your truck always looked great to me, these recent modifications are a nice subtle change but I'm guessing the biggest change is how it now drives/handles etc.

Re: No more Bias Ply tires

The ride is a 100% better, it is actually enjoyable to drive, doesn't squeal going around corners at 10 mph, doesn't howl at 50 and feels safe at 70. I have never been even 65mph in my truck. I just did a 3-5 drop on springs with shocks and ran an 8' wheel vintique on rear.

20 years ago I bought redline reproduction tires, and put them on a hot Nova I had.

I am with you on replacing them

Glad you are enjoying your truck again! It is just gorgeous...amazing what subtle changes can do for you! That's awesome about the T-shirt too!

Never again, great on a vehicle sitting in a museum or showroom.

Re: No more Bias Ply tires

That is one sharp truck! Congrats on the T-shirt! As for bias ply tires, I had a '40 Chevy with a straight axle. That car was all over the road when they got worn, but a set of radials tamed that. It was real fun going through the traps at the drag strip at about 100. It tended to float at speed, too, which didn't help at all.
