Needed: throttle cable mount.
I have a carter with a performer intake and need to hook the throttle cable on a 72. Does anybody have a pic of what it looks like, and does anybody have one around? Need it shipped to a business at 98273. Here's a couple of pics of what I need it for.
Thanks. |

Maybe I can help
There is a universal kickdown/throttle cable bracket you can buy from any auto parts store. it wont work with the original cable but you can pick up a cable to go with it. A new cable will make it all smoother anyway. Summit Racing has the bracket and cable these are the part numbers-
Bracket- LOK-SRK-4000 Cable- LOK-TC-1000U You can get them both for less than 50 bucks. |

Throttle cable
All you are missing to make yours work is a little ball with stud on it. You can get from any carter or quadrajet at a junkyard/

Go to www.summitracing.com and put this part# in the search window. SPE-2428 $9.50 It's the one I use on my 71 with stock cable. It also holds the kick down cable. I've used it for about a year with no problems. Then punch in EDL-8016 $5.39 edelbrock ball end stud.
