Re: Real Decision 2020--Valve Covers
Just wanted to update the thread. I bought my valve covers today. I ended up getting the PML finned "Corvette" script valve covers. They were a set a shop had that the customer changed their mind after they were ordered. It was a deal I got lucky to find and just happened to be in the right place at the right time. I saved over $150 from the lowest price I had found previously. I am going to paint them green to match other bits in my engine bay. Will post pics after I install them.
I am super excited to get these...I have been looking at them for 3+ years for my truck. I bought them from www.lyonsperformance.com out of East Haven CT. Matt (the owner) was super helpful and gave me the great deal. Last edited by roll_the_dice; 01-16-2021 at 04:28 PM. |

Re: Real Decision 2020--Valve Covers
Looks great! That is how I am going to paint mine except in green. I may polish the fins and script.

Re: Real Decision 2020--Valve Covers
OK so had a rainy day all day today...chilly and rainy...so i played with one of the valve covers and sanded and polished the fins and corvette script. Here is a picture comparing the 2. I can't decide whether to try and polish the entire cover or just the fins and script on both. I guess worse case scenario is I can still paint it if I don't want the entire piece polished. Thoughts?

Re: Real Decision 2020--Valve Covers
Polished fins and script looks great, another option, after polish paint the script another color, black or orange.

Re: Real Decision 2020--Valve Covers
I have theyre 200R4 pan, built like a tank. Polished, I put it next to a high quality polished oil pan. The difference is obvious in the quality of the aluminum they use. Very bright and clear.

Re: Real Decision 2020--Valve Covers
Sweet looking small bock Dice Roller. The valve covers, the exhaust manifolds, the fitech, air cleaner, front runner...a lot of nice touches on that. I like the old school small blocks.

Re: Real Decision 2020--Valve Covers
HAHA I know right?! I wanted the Chevrolet script, but at a $200 discount, I couldn't say no! Plus it is a cool factor saying "Corvette" even though it is only 300 HP and far from a Corvette!

Re: Real Decision 2020--Valve Covers
Thanks...the engine bay is one of my favorite parts of the truck. My neighbors probably think my truck runs horribly since I always have the hood up! LOL
