1 speed wipers ----need help

I know that the yellow (12v) wire goes to one of the terminals on the wiper motor, and the blue wire from the motor goes to the wiper switch.

Which side of the motor does the hot wire connect? left or right ?

I just helped wire a buddy’s 62 and the hot wire from the fuse panel connected to the left terminal, looking at the motor when mounted under the dash. The right terminal was wired back to the switch in the dash.
