DANFORTH Crossmember
Hello, I’m sending a big hi from Winnipeg, Manitoba , Canada. I have been working on a 1952 Chevrolet 3100 (1300 up here) for the past 8 years and almost completed. My setup is a 496 Big Block, 4 link rear, IFS using the Scott Danforth crossmember. I am hoping to pick some brains regarding the use of the crossmember, specifically the shock coil combination and/or coil over combination.
My current set up is: adj upper control arm from SPC, 2” drop spindles, stock lower control arms. (from a S10) . I have had a hard time finding a shock/coilover combination that will work as the spacing between the upper perch and the LCA is fairly short. I am curious if anyone else has had these issues with the Danforth crossmember. Any input is greatly appreciated. |

Re: DANFORTH Crossmember
There was a lot of chatter on them on here a few years back but it died out.
If you haven't done so do a search for Danforth crossmember both here and further and see what old info comes up. When you look at it in this link I don't think it was designed to use coil overs at all. https://kustomcreations.smugmug.com/...uck/i-Djs48Wq/
