Re: No power with Key On, but turns over

But you are working on a 60-66 right? If so you may find this to be a good spot for your question too.
So you can crank it over but it wont fire up? When you say no power, are the guages and stuff dead too? Evidently power is reaching the key and kicking over the starter when the switch is in the cranking position, but I wonder if it's leaving the key switch in the "ignition" position.

Re: No power with Key On, but turns over

Hi Dave- so to make a long story short, the American Autowire dash harness I bought had the pink wire pinned wrong to wrong slot at the pigtail connector. It was pinned to GRD instead of IGN. I repinned it to the correct slot, IGN, and the truck turned over and fired up.

Glad you caught that! That could have caused a guy to go in circles looking for the problem. If they had a run on those this will help someone else.
