A New Breed of Fire Extigusher
So I ordered one of these fire extinguishers for my truck. It's a tiny powerhouse that leaves no residue. It's non-toxic and so small and light, you can keep it in the glovebox. In the video on the site (and others on YouTube), it reminds me of a magic wand that puts out fires.
If the thought of blastng powder from a traditional fire extinguish all over your engine (or even worse, under your dash) gives you the heebie jeebies....check it out. https://elementfire.com/ maybe I'll get some for the home too. Dislaimer: I have no relationship with this company. A friend of mine saw it in a SEMA video and I just thought you guys might like it. |

Re: A New Breed of Fire Extigusher
I saw a video of it on Jay Leno's Garage. Pretty cool.

I have one mounted behind my seat. Fortunately I have not had to test it.

I have one too. I saw it a couple of years ago on Jay Leno's Garage. I think I paid about $75 for it.

Re: A New Breed of Fire Extigusher
Mine just got here today. Pretty sweet. If I was a real pal, I'd start a fire and try it out to let you guys know how it works, but at 80 bucks...your gonna have to take a rain check on that one.

Re: A New Breed of Fire Extigusher
I have one in each vehicle, and will be getting more for the shop. The plus factors are they are small, light weight, long use time and they don't need a recharge. Only downside I see is once you light one, it's going to keep doing its thing till it's done. No recharge, just throw away what's left and buy another.

Funny how it looks like a road flare.
