67 fender badge
I'm wanting to put fender badges on my 67 but don't have holes for them. Did body work and covered them. Question is has anyone ever cut the prongs off the badge and used 3m double stick tape to apply them? Been searching the internet for stick on badges with no luck.

With that said, if another member has fenders loose, it would be easy enough to make (left/right) 'templates' (or reference the assembly manual) for hole location.

Re: 67 finder badge
What is a "finder badge"?
When I had my '68 Skylark, I stuck the "GS" badges on the "C" pillar with double-sided tape. I never was able to find those "serrated nuts", for lack of a better name for them. I managed to wrestle them off when I went to a painted top from a vinyl top. They didn't leak water into the car, with the double-sided tape.

Re: 67 finder badge
I applied the trunk emblem on my 77 camaro with black 3m double sided tape. 10 years and maybe 20 hand washes later and it's still hanging on!

Re: 67 finder badge
I have the fenders off of my 72 C-10, can I help with any hole location. PS I would use 2 sided tape and not put holes in your fenders.

Re: 67 fender badge
ordered a set from classic industries today. My plan is to cut the prongs off and use some type of tape to stick on the fenders. I will post my progress. Thinking i need to add side view mirrors too.

Re: 67 fender badge
I was thinking about your idea about cutting the tabs off. You might try this idea on a scrap emblem. After cutting the tabs off fill in the void area with epoxy and sand flat. That would give more surface area for the tape.

Re: 67 fender badge
Your emblems will sit away from the fender and in my opinion become a dirt collector. I put the upper trim on my 68 and yes drilled all the holes for the clips. Every time I look at the trim I'm happy that I took the time to do it right. Good luck and be happy.
