I've had my Excursion torn apart since an o ring on the governor shaft started leaking. I took the injection pump to the pump shop to get repaired over a month ago. I dread to fill it up now. 42gal tank at $4.89...... Yeah, that's going to hurt.

Just data point on fuel mileage.
1997 suburban 2WD with vortex 350, auto trans, loaded. Drove for three years. 19-20 mpg on the highway summer gas, and 17 mpg local around town ( 30-45 mph). Real gas back then. Do not remember gear ratio, ordered suburban. This was a great truck! Les |

Just filled my 85 . 15 gallons 91 octane non ethonal $73.50 truck mpg that tank was 14.3
But the smiles per gallon...... priceless
