65 C-10 lowering.
First let me start by saying I bought my 65 about 2 years ago and this website has been a god send. You guys are some of the most helpful people ive ever met and thats no joke. Now let me move to my question. I (hopefully) attached a pic of my front passenger side suspension setup. 3" lowering springs and 2" drop spindles with brand new ball joints. Currently on stock 15s off a 64. Its sitting really close to the ground and it doesnt look right to me. Please be nice, ive never done anything like this before and figured why not start with this truck.

Re: 65 C-10 lowering.
3" spindles place the control arm LOWER than the rim, so if you have a flat, you will skid to a halt on the ground.
Perfectly normal. Carry on. I have 3" spindles and cut 1-ton springs in my '77, and the control arms are 3.25" off the ground.

Re: 65 C-10 lowering.
Welcome to the site.
Are you sure the spindles are 2" drop? What brand or what part number did you use? Most 'C10' era drop spindles are 2.5" or 3" although there are other possibilities. A 2.5" spindle w/a coil cut usually is about the max one can go w/o constant worry of damage to the control arms. Raising the crossmember or getting an aftermarket set-up that's raised helps gain some of that precious clearance back while being low. As for being a new builder.... Everyone had to start from nothing. The smart ones asked questions to get better results while soaking up the knowledge. Don't sweat it!
