Where abouts in Wisconsin are you?I am looking at a truck that has the tailgate and the lift gate is missing some parts.I would prefer barn doors, but I don't know if you could swap from one style to another.Let me know if the guy is going to part with or part out the trucks. Thanks

WD....all suburbans from 60-66 that came from the factory with lift gates on them can be changed to barn door pretty easily....the place for the hinges are capped off by plastic caps....the latches from the sides have to be moved to the top and bottom of the rear opening. you will have to drill 4 holes for the bottom latch...If you have a suburban that came from the factory with barn doors you have to change the rear valance panel to accept the barn door hinges..... I did this switch on a 66 that i took the lift gate off of for my 62...i put the barn doors off of the 62 to the 66......If you have any questions e-mail me Hemmit
