2017+ swap vats delete question
2017+ is labeled as e92a ecu, takes 4 Hptuner credits
pre 2017 is e92 ecu and takes 2 Hptuner credits I have only had luck with 2014 flashes on pre 2016 ecu that has vats 1 and 2 patches. Has anyone successfully removed vats from 2017 newer ecu? Contacted HPtuners and it was not recommended to flash the e92 ecu file i have used in other swaps to the new style ecu. All pin outputs are pretty much the same except the fuel pressure sensor, and a few other extra wires that gets de-pinned . It might be standard practice not to just write an entire file from some other ecu, but being a different e92 and e92a could be a problem? maybe able to stat it up this weekend, if not next weekend. Really don't want to waste 200 in credits on the 2017 ecu and turn around and have to buy a pre 2017 ecu and license it too. thanks, Clint

Re: 2017+ swap vats delete question
I just finished a 2018 swap and it worked with no problem. But you also have to disable the starter diagnostic, I didn't do that at first and it didn't start, but afterward it was all good. The 4 credits part does kind of sucks though, but what can you do...
