Re: Anyone ever had a pulsating vibe at highway speeds?
My '85 2wd has it. Two different engines, two different transmissions, two different torque converters, three different driveshafts, two different sets of wheels tires, new axles, new spider gears, all new bearings, driveline angle checked.
Yeah, I have spent a ton, It really bothers me to the point that I am just about ready to get rid of it. |

Re: Anyone ever had a pulsating vibe at highway speeds?
I have an 87 GMC 3/4 t with a 9 1/2" semifloating rearend. I've always had a vibration at about 80 mph.Couldnt figure it out till this winter. The rearend yoke looked OK but the ujoint will slide sideways about a 1/4". Thats the next job on the list. Never seen that before. Just something else to check .Hope this helps.

Re: Anyone ever had a pulsating vibe at highway speeds?
Nope. I drive the truck about 1000 miles a year. If that. For now. So i have just lived with it. Anyway, i plan on just getting a junk yard hob/drum and slapping it on there to see how it does.

Re: Anyone ever had a pulsating vibe at highway speeds?
I know this thread is old but I'm having the same issue and wondering if you ever figured it out? I've had 2 different engines and transmissions, 2 driveshafts both rebuilt prior to install (different lengths went big block), rear end rebuilt with different carrier, new rims and tires, and redid all brakes. I can't figure out what is causing vibration.
