66 Squeaking Crazy

Hi all,

I bought a 66 Shortbed Big window to use as a daily driver and I’ve been driving it for the last 6 months. I’ve built a couple 55-59 trucks but I’m new to 60-66 C10’s.

The truck’s drivetrain is perfect and it handles well enough, but this thing squeaks like no tomorrow. I’ve lubricated the hell of everything and I still can’t get the squeaking out of the front end. Any tips to quiet the ol girl down? Any insight is truly appreciated.

Best,

Josh

Try flipping the truck with the wheels on the ground, instead of facing up, should help.

Re: 66 Squeaking Crazy

I spray lubricating oil on my lower control arm bushings. It comes back so I just sprat them again. I usually have PB Blaster.
