Stay logged in--Forever
Sometimes when I'm making a new thread after a while it logs me off, how do I stay logged in longer?
I looked on my settings and so forth but could not find it. Stay logged in--Forever |

Re: Stay logged in--Forever
I think it has been happening to all of us lately and I thought it was my computer giving me a bad time.
I've had the same exact thing going on for the past couple of weeks.

Re: Stay logged in--Forever
I was thinking that the settings on my computer from my protective system was kicking me out. The privacy settings on it cause issues logging into a couple of sites I use a lot.

Re: Stay logged in--Forever
I've got Avast as anti virus and secuirity and it works great but the anti tracking may work too good. I'm thinking that is what is logging me out. The anti tracking is confusing the system on the board.

Re: Stay logged in--Forever
I'm using a wired network connection at home.
if you are on a cell or a many user wifi connection - you may be getting different IPs frequently and when the site sees you coming from a different address it wants authentication. you can probably tell avast to 'trust' this site or to save cookies for this site or set some lower level of protection for this site. if everything was working then it stopped with no known changes on your side, try purging the cached files from your browser, either all the cache or just for this site. this will let the browser start fresh and perhaps when you tell it to keep logged in it will work. you might be able to test this last before doing it with a private/incognito browser window....if that behaves better you will probably fix the issue deleting cache, if no change, deleting cache is still in the maybe category. |

Re: Stay logged in--Forever
I am using a PC at my office and have Avast virus protection installed. I have been using Avast for 10 years and never a issue but until last month , then every time I have to log on to access the site.
I did try accessing this site from my smart phone and no issues. So it looks like maybe Avast is my issue. Thanks for the input. Vic |

Re: Stay logged in--Forever
I'm traveling right now, haven't logged in in months on my fire tablet on many WiFi routers and states.
