Picked up a 61 longbed and frame has been swapped. DANA 60 in the rear which is a 3/4ton I believe. Can稚 I壇 the frame to order parts to save my life. Thanks in advance!

Re: 1961 frame swapped identification help

Got a picture of the front frame horns? I'm thinking it's probably a GMC frame because of the leaf springs and Dana rear. If it's a 6 lug rear, probably a Dana 44. That steering gear and front cross member under the radiator looks a lot like 67-72 stuff

See if you can find the B.O.M. on the Dana that should point you in the right direction

Re: 1961 frame swapped identification help

Will take more pics when I get home. I tried looking for the BOM numbers when I bought it but could not find. Might have to wire wheel some more.
Also, still have drums in front. Not sure what year Chevy/ gmc switched to pads but that would narrow it down a bit

Re: 1961 frame swapped identification help

Disc brakes started in '71. So a '67-70 crossmember would be drum.

I agree with Arne and CW Carpenter. That is a '67-'70 GMC frame.
