New Parts Costs

I was digging around in my stuff of new parts I bought for my truck back about 10 years ago and noticed things seem to have went up drastically in price.
I wish I could find my receipts to give some examples.

Sheet metal repair parts went up 30-50% since I bought them in 2021

Ouch!.
I still want to find my receipts for my drop spindles and rotors I bought back around 2012, but I think I paid at least $100 less than what they are asking for them now.

I bought CPP 63-70 drop spindles for $230 Feb of '22 for $215, they're $315 now. The six lug rotor/caliper kit was $325, now its $375. Rear drop blocks and U-bolts were $58, now they're $80.

Re: New Parts Costs

I'm sure you folks that have been doing these trucks for years are right. But as a long-time hobby restorer building a truck for the first time, parts prices are still dirt-cheap compared to other vehicles I've done in the past. Compared to the prices on parts for the '64 FJ40 I did in 2018, the prices on the '64 C10 I'm doing now are amazing. And you flat don't want to know what parts for a '72 Porsche 911 cost...

I agree. For me, the aftermarket support is what makes these truck do-able now adays. I used to have a '70 Coupe Deville and decided to sell it when the parts became scarce and expensive. I'm thankful that I dont really have to go scavenging for very many used parts for my C10 with new ones just being a click away.....I have a lot of respect for those who keep the more obscure vehicles going because their challenges become greater with every passing year.
