1966 k10 np205
Hi All
work is progressing on my 66 K10 and am looking for pictures of a NP 205 installed in a 62-66 K10. I have a divorced NP205 and that is what I want to stay with. See numerous pictures of married types with 465 transmissions though nothing with the stock 420 / 205 divorced. I want to keep the original cross member as well. Thanks for any info you can provide |

Re: 1966 k10 np205
I did this last winter. I did not keep the original crossmember because it would lower the case more than I liked. I used a 1970 International NP205 with the original International crossmember over the case but made flat pieces to set on the International frame mounts. I will try to get pics for you.

Re: 1966 k10 np205
thanks for the info. I would be concerned with clearance issues with the cab if I raised the crossmember up. A picture of what you did would help me out.

Re: 1966 k10 np205
The first pic shows the t-case with the international crossmember over it, the second is the flat plates and strap I used between the International l brackets and poly mounts on the frame. I was able to make a bracket to keep the Chevy t-case shifter but move to the passenger side of the hump, pics are 2wd,4low and 4high.
