New Phantom grill came today(pic)

Got this grill off Ebay for $160 shipped from Grill4you. It fits perfect and lined up without any problems. I've been wanting one for a while and when I saw it on Ebay I went through some feedback and found a guy who had bought one and asked him about the quality and he assured me that I would be thrilled....he was right!

I want to bag the front on saturday. I need to know a couple things first. Do I remove the bumpstop completely? And do I need to tack weld the bottom cup in place in the lower a-arm?

so the quality is very good? how well do the parking lamps bolt up to it?

The quality is good or better than any billet grill I've ever seen. I have an 86 with the single headlight and parking light below it. It does have the mount for the parking light. I definitely reccomend it.

LOL i love those style grills, but im keeping it real with an outside hood release, and it looks like too much trouble and money to run an inside release so im going for the chrome round tube grille in LMC, it looks "fresh", and chrome is always good.

If you want to lay the LCA's out, you will have to remove the bumpstops and wheel houses. The lower cups don't need to be tack welded. They simply "rest" in the spring pocket. When you hit the switches, you'll hear the cups "pop" into place.

Looks good guys. I almost got one of his phantoms too. He did not have a good enough photo of it installed to convince me though. I just got the regular billet grill and it looks just peachy.

I found this Grill4you guy on Ebay. Boy he has alot of grills for sale. One thing he does not have is a phanton grill for the 73-80 trucks. Only for the 81-87. too bad, I'd like to get one. I guess I'll have to settle for regular one.

Link if anyone is intrested.
Linky to grill on ebay

O.K., I just sent the guy an email asking him about setting up a discounted price for guys on this forum. I asked him for prices on both styles, phantom and regular. I hope you can wait until I hear back from him. The sellers ebay store is grille4you.
Oh yeah it was $119+$45 to ship and I think that's a deal so let's see if he'll come down a little

I did get a response from grill4u people and they offered a $5 discount for anyone from this forum. As for the parking/turn signal lamp mount, There is a welded tab where I guess you can attach it to. I have to say that this is the best money I've spent on the appearance of my truck.
