Re: Where do these go?
They look like front grill parts.

Re: Where do these go?
I know they come off that area but I can't figure out where they bolt to. There was a homemade grill on it when I git it and I replaced it with a stock one that has different mounts. Trying to figure out if they are still needed

Re: Where do these go?
I'm thinking that if they go on that truck you will figure it out the moment that you need them. On the other hand they may be part of that "custom" grill and fit what ever donated it.

Re: Where do these go?
those are the brackets that hold the keg of down grease for the feather valve on the goose neck for the lock pin on the 5th wheel hitch. make sure to get a fresh bucket of steam to keep the area clean and lube it with goose grease to ensure trouble free operation under severe conditions.
haha, just kidding. dunno what those brackets are for but couldn't resist the urge to extrapolate (thats my big word for the day) I really hope you get an answer for the question but possibly they were a bracket from somethimg else that was handy at the time and was made to work for cheap. |

Re: Where do these go?
Thanks all for confirming they arent part of the truck. I'll match them up with the homemade grill and see if they go with it. I had to find a set of grill mounts for the stock grill so he had to have used something to mount the homemade one. Usually if I take something apart it just makes sense of where everything goes when I put it back together

Re: Where do these go?
Those support the front Valance on 58 and 59 Chevy trucks, the single bolt hole at the end and the one just past goes to the Front Valance and the other two bolt to the Radiator Support from underneath.

Sorry i don't have any pics because mine are off right now, but YES, they do bolt inside of the U channel of the core support & bolt to the Lower valance. Glad you were able to figure it out! Good luck with your build! |
