Any interest in a factory cruise setup?
I can't use my truck's cruise anymore since I am swapping out to EFI, so I'm just seeing if anyone is interested?
Everything worked but I wrecked the fender mounted speed sensor thinger, I'll toss in a new one from the wrecking yard. It would come with all of the wires, labelled, along with the speedo cable, turn signal switch with the cruise button, brake pedal switch, and all of the vac lines. I'm not sure what to ask for it, but I was thinking somewhere in the neighbourhood of 100 bucks cnd shipped to wherever you live, the 100 bucks would cover shipping, and the new single peice speedo cable and turn signal arm that I'd need to buy. Or I'll tade you the whole setup for five sensors from an 86 TPI car with a 350 in it (corvette, trans am, GTA etc) I'd need a Knock Sensor (86 350 only), Manifold temperature switch (under the plenum at the back, 305 or 350), EGR switch (screws into the EGR on the top of the lower intake, 305 or 350), Fan Override switch (350 only), and an 02 sensor (85 - 92, 305 or 350) -- In this case I'll pay for the shipping of the cruise to you, and you pay for the shipping of the sensors to me.

I am probably interested in your curise. What is it off of? Do you think it could be adpated to a '71 chev pickup?
Also, how much is $100 Canadian in US dollars? Litdave

That'd be about 75 bucks US...
I'd guess that most of it would bolt up except for the signal arm with the cruise button in it, but even then I'd guess you could probally fab it up to work (the arm is only mounted with a single screw to the signal cam) Its all off a 1980 GMC 3/4 ton with a 350, and I have used it before, only issue I've ever had was getting it to engage sometimes, which I later found out was my brake switch being too far back, flush mounted it, and it'd engage every single time, just that I had broken my fender speed sensor thinger, so it would just floor the truck and keep on accelerating, I haven't touched any of the rest of the cruise setup less the brake pedal switch, and even then, my 350 doesn't have real good vaccum, so it might not have had enough vaccum to run properly. I'd get a new fender unit and test it, but the carb I have right now doesn't have a intake manifold vac source I can hook the cruise too, decided that I'd rather have brakes than cruise I'd send you all of the electronics + a new fender mounted speed sensor, and if it didn't work, I'd find you parts until we got it working, pretty much guaranteed working cruise setup for 75 bucks shipped.

I'll get a T for my brake's vac line, and hook the cruise up to it, see if I can get it all to work before I pull it off and ship it to you, I dunno when I'll have the chance though... Friday may be the earliest

Here are some pictures I took today -- I didn't have enough light under the dash to get any in focus shots of the wiring underneith it...
The first picture is of the servo, which mounts by pulling the 2 rear driver's side intake manifold bolts, then putting it between the bolts and the intake. The second is the speed sensor thinger, third is the shifting arm. There is a rod that goes from the servo to your carb, I'll include the stud that you bolt onto the Q-Jet's linkages (if you decide to drill a hole for it, make sure that you use a really sharp bit, and run a small pilot hole first, the linkage material heats up very, very quickly, and bends right away) I can't see why you wouldn't be able to bolt this setup into your earlier pickup truck, unless the speedo cables are significantly different anyways...
