How to remove headlight switch/cigarette lighter?

I'm getting my '72 c-10 ready for paint, but I can't remember how to get the headlight switch off so I can remove the gauge bezel. And I've got no clue how to remove the cigarette lighter housing. I'll end up breaking them both if left to my own methods, so any advice would be greatly appreciated.

To get the knob out of the headlight switch, you gotta reach under the dash and there's a small button on top of the headlight switch, you have to pull the knob out so it's in the on position, then push down the little button and pull the whole knob and stem out. Then unscrew the bezel and get a 5/8 socket and remove the nut that holds it to the dash. Can't help with the cig. lighter, someone else knows for sure.

mine i out of a mid 80s truck so it might be different but there is a inner sleeve (what the lighter goes into) and a back sleeve that screws over the inner and pinches on the dash sheet metal

There is an inner sleeve on these too,but both ends of it are threaded so the trim bezel can be threaded on it.But the switch itself is the same.
