lugnut size

I was hoping to purchase some new lugnuts today on my lunch break, except I don't know what size to get. I have a 2wd 1986 c10 5 lug 1/2 ton 305.

Other question along wheel vein. I've got some rally wheels and center caps. What's the best way to attach the center cap to the wheel? Sheet metal screw? Nut and bolt?

Thanks!

I don't remember the specs on the lug nuts, but as far as attaching the centers to the wheels, there should be threaded holes in the wheels to use to attach them. I went to my local hardware store and bought some stainless bolts so they wouldn't rust. You shouldn't need nuts on the bolts since the holes in the wheels are threaded.

Hope that helps.

I think 5/16 x 1/2 inch long,... on the cap bolts.

Well, closer inspection reveals that my rallies are not threaded for the center caps. The holes are there just not threaded. I guess I need to tap them?

Unfortunately, I couldn't find the correct bolts so I tapped them. Then I discovered that the shortest bolts I could find in 5/16 were 3/4" long which of course would bump against the rotors/drums. So I had to knock those down a 1/4", but it worked out. Thanks for the help.
